Schultz or Let's Play

This is my first attempt at trying to draw a very realistic pencil drawing.

There is a special story behind this drawing as well. The dog in this picture is my dog and his name is Schultz. On New Years Eve he went to get up and started crying in pain. His back leg had splintered/shattered.

We took him to the emergency vet and we found out he had bone cancer and the leg could not be saved. So three weeks after this and having his leg removed, we where downstairs in the basement when we hear a whining upstairs.

This is what we saw...him up at it and wanting to play ball

The moral of this... life is what you make of it.. just because they say the odds are against you.. prove them wrong!

Btw - he is currently going through chemo and has number 5 this week - and the all important chest x-ray.. but considering he made me run during our walk a little while ago, I know it will come back just fine!
